I have a student who is used to using Intellikeys.  Using Clicker Writer with Intellikeys would be great, because pictures would show up as he writes.  He is needs to write with whole words.  On intellikeys I have Apple in one cell.  When he touched the cell, Apple showed up in Clicker writer but the picture did not.  Is Intellikeys incompatable with Clicker or is there something I am missing?  If possible, I would also like it to speak as he types a word, not just when he puts the period at the end of a sentence.

Intellikeys should work in conjunction with Clicker writer.  Here are a few ideas.

Make sure there is a space programed after the word  - Apple(space) or have the student enter the space after selecting a word.

Make sure that Instant pictures is selected for Clicker writer.  By default Instant pictures is on for cells within grids, but not within clicker writer.  To turn it on go to File-Settlngs-Picture and Sound libraries.  check "Instant pictures within clicker writer."  Pictures will only show up if the word has a picture already associated with it within Clicker.

To get Clicker Writer to speak after each word, go to File/Settings/Clicker Writer and check 'Speak each word when space is entered'. That will work for the grid set in which you're working. If you want to have Clicker Writer speak each word after it's entered regardless of what grid set you're working from, go to Options/ User Preferences, click on 'Speech' then where the second line says 'speak each word as space is entered', click on the blue arrows and choose 'always'.

Good luck and let us know if you still have problems.
