speech recognition for lectures?

Can I use NaturallySpeaking to convert a lecture to text for students who have trouble taking notes?

Speech recognition technology is intended for more controlled speaking than you would typically have in a lecture situation.  If you wanted to try it, the lecturer should understand that he/she would have to be fairly reserved in their speaking style (limited inflection, minimal change in volume, etc. - basically, very little expression.  He/she would probably have to wear a wireless mic designed for speech rec.  Also, if there were questions or comments from class participants, the program would not be able to capture their speech.  Background noise would have to kept to a minimum.  Even with all these factors controlled I would not expect it to work very well.
