Will the SETC send a staff member to my school to help me make decisions regarding the use of technology for the students in my classroom?

SETC can send staff to provide tech support in the classroom.  We do this in the form of a student-centered Technology Collaboration or in the form of a Classroom Observation/Consultation.  There is a charge for each of these services.  The Collaboration is $800 when conducted at the school site.  This involves two of our staff for a 1/2 day session and requires a formal application.  The Observation/Consultation costs $100 per hour with a three hour minimum. All SETC fees include any & all travel expenses.

Also check within your district.  There maybe experts in the area that you need assistance.  For instance I work other teachers in our district using technology in the classrooms.  They email me with questions and I try to answer them.  I have also gone out to buildings and helped set up technology needs and done trainings.  Just ask around you might be surprised in what you can find.
